Pin YouTube Videos to the Page so You Can Scroll Through Comments [Chrome]

Do you like to read through the comments while watching YouTube videos? The comments on some videos can be very entertaining and even enlightening. However, if you read through them while a video is playing, you’ll often miss the entire video. Luckily, the Video Pinner Chrome extension changes all of that; it gives you the best of both worlds. It can pin YouTube videos to the page so that you can scroll through the comments and watch the video at the same time.

When you add the extension to Chrome, you’ll get a new browser button. Just go to a YouTube video and click on the button. Immediately, the video will be pinned to the page and you can scroll down to read through comments as the video plays. Unfortunately, clicking on the button again does not unpin the video; you’ll need to refresh the page or go to a new page in order to unpin it.

As you can see, this is a great little extension that is sure to come in handy for those who love reading comments while watching videos on YouTube. Note: This extension only works for videos on the YouTube.com website.
