Corrections

When we’re wrong,
we say so.

We aim to get every article right. When we miss something, we correct it on the page where the error appeared and explain material changes.

How to request a correction

Email corrections@maketecheasier.com with the article URL, the passage in question and a source supporting the correction. Specific reports help us respond faster.

We check each report against the cited sources and, for how-to articles, against the version named in the article. Material errors and substantial revisions receive a dated note explaining what changed.

What counts as a correction

We correct factual errors, including instructions that do not work as described. Spelling, formatting, broken links and clarifications that do not change the article’s meaning may be fixed without a correction note. If an article’s central premise cannot be supported, we withdraw it and, where appropriate, leave a notice at the original address.

Updates vs. corrections

Technology changes after publication. Products launch, interfaces move and research is revised. We update articles to reflect the current facts and show the most recent update date. An update that materially changes the original conclusion is treated as a correction.
