Yet Another Amazon Prime Perk: Gas Savings

Amazon Gas Savings Featured

This price of gas is a sticking point with many. Many stores offer gas savings to lure people in. Despite only having a few small, unique pop-up stores, Amazon is now including gas savings as a perk for a Prime membership.

Saving Big at the Pump

The price of gas is something everyone complains about. It can be expensive. Locally for me in the Chicago area, the price has been fluctuating between $3.25 and $3.65 per gallon. Luckily, I have a small car, so it’s, at most, $30 to fill it up. But people with gas guzzlers can spend a fortune.

I don’t have to drive that often, as I work from home and buy a lot of things on Amazon. But I do drive to see friends and family, go to the doctor, etc. So I don’t have to fill up my tank that often, but I do every six to eight weeks.

Perhaps this is why Amazon Prime is making gas savings its newest perk for being an Amazon Prime member. The greatest perk to me has always been free one- or two-day shipping on orders over $25 – but gas savings is certainly good too.

Amazon announced that Prime members can now save $.10 per gallon at around 7,000 gas stations across the United States. These include bp, Amoco, and ampm locations. Amazon estimates it could save on average $70 per year, which is nearly half of an annual Prime membership.

Start Your Savings Now

Start your gas savings at Amazon by visiting https://www.amazon.com/fuelsavings. All that’s needed is an active Prime membership and a free earnify account with bp. Once you activate the offer, your Amazon and earnify accounts will be connected.

Find a bp, Amoco or ampm gas station by using the store location in the earnify app, then input your phone number or linked payment method at the pump. You can also save at the pump by selecting a gas station and pump you are using in the app.

If you’re not a Prime member yet, along with the free shipping and Prime Video, you also get better pricing, exclusive deals, savings during Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days, ad-free listening in Amazon Music, prescription meds through Amazon Pharmacy, high-quality health care, grocery delivery from Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh, photo storage, free games, ebooks, audiobooks, and a free Grubhub+ membership.

Next year, Amazon will provide even more transportation-related savings. In 2025, the company will be adding savings for electric vehicle charging at bp pulse, the gas station’s electric vehicle charging locations.

For just $14.99/month, you could be saving on gas. And if you’re already a member, there’s literally no reason not to start your gas savings at Amazon. If you want more savings, check out how to track Amazon price drops.
