How to Prepare for Amazon Prime Day 2025
Amazon Prime Day is just a four-day event. This means the window for grabbing the best deals is somewhat limited. The best way to make the most out of the event, in this case, is by preparing beforehand.
First and foremost, you need to be a Prime member. If you haven’t signed up for it yet, you can start by navigating to amazon.com/prime. If you are offered a free trial, click on the Start your 30-day free trial button, and enter the required details. If you are not offered one, you will need to pay a subscription fee to continue. I’ve already saved $643 in 2025 alone. This more than makes up for the price of my membership. But from the looks of it, I need to take better advantage of the deals.
Once your account is up and running, consider making a list of everything you need. All the deals and ads during the event can make things a bit confusing, so this will help you stay on track during the event.
There are also multiple ways to track the price drops on Amazon that you can follow. It’s not too early to start now. There are already a number of early Amazon Prime Day deals posted, as well as some deals avaiable to non-Prime members. You may want to also keep an eye on multiple sites. Amazon has several competitors, most of which offer their own deals and discounts around the same time. You can check Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and other competitors to find the best deals for you.
What to Expect on Prime Day 2025
Amazon does not disclose the exact details of what is going to be discounted during the actual four-day event. You will find significant savings on tech products, pantry staples and snacks, home-improvement must-haves, back-to-school supplies, health and personal care finds, family-favorite toys, bestselling books, etc.
According to the e-commerce giant, while the products themselves have not been mentioned, this year it will offer the lowest prices of the year on selected items from Samsung, Kiehl’s, and Levi’s, as well as new-to-Amazon brands like Unwell Hydration, Tarte Cosmetics, and Away.
Apart from this, expect popular Amazon devices to be discounted up to 40%. It may not be as high of a discount as prior years, but you should still be able to get significant savings.
