  • Charges multiple devices
  • Fast charging support
  • Built-in cables

What we don’t like

  • USB-C cable snags easily
  • Display stays on while charging

When I go out, I always take several things with me: phone, keys, and wallet. Now, I’ll also grab the ultra-compact Veger K1 Power Bank to ensure I never have to deal with a low battery warning ever again. After testing this power bank, it’s become my go-to for backup power.

Compact Enough to Take Anywhere

The biggest problem I have with most power banks is that they’re either bulky or extra cables need to be carried as well. Either way, they’re not exactly convenient. The Veger K1 Power Bank fits in the palm of my hand and has two built-in cables: Lightning and USB-C.

The Lightning cable tucks in nicely into the back of the power bank. The USB-C cable folds over into the top and doubles as a little handle. Though, I wouldn’t recommend using the cable to hang the power bank on anything.

The only complaint I have is that the USB-C cable can hook around things in your pocket or purse. I do wish it would fit flush against the power bank like the Lightning cable.

However, having two cables built-in lets me easily charge most phones and tablets without carrying anything else with me.

Weighing in at less than half a pound, it’s not too bulky to carry with you. Whether I’m going out with friends, shopping, or traveling, it slips into my bag and gives me peace of mind knowing that my phone won’t die on me.

Charges Most Everyday Devices

Easily charge your iPhone, smartwatch, Android phone, tablet, earbuds, laptop, Chromebook, and any other gadget that charges via a USB or Lightning cable. Essentially, if it’s a smaller device you tend to carry around with you every day, take the Veger K1 Power Bank with you to ensure that your battery doesn’t run out.

Powerful and Fast Charging

The Veger K1 Power Bank features a 10,000mAh battery, making this power bank the smallest and most compact option with a battery this large. Thanks to the PD 35W max output, devices charge rather quickly.

For most devices that support fast charging, PD 20W fast charging can take many devices to over 50 percent in less than 30 minutes. According to the product specifications, it can charge an iPhone 15 or 16 1.8 times on a single charge.

For example, I recently had to sit at the DMV for a while. That meant several hours playing games and scrolling social media on my phone. By the time I was finished, my phone was sitting around 20 percent, and I still had multiple errands to run. I had the K1 with me, connected my phone, and had it boosted to over 60 percent by the time I reached my next destination, about 15 minutes away.

I also liked that I don’t have to worry about monitoring my device when it’s charging. The K1 power bank has overcurrent, overcharge, and short-circuit protection.

Another surprising feature is that the power bank didn’t get hot or even warm while in use. After using it to charge a few devices and draining the power bank completely, you couldn’t even tell it had been used. It remained at room temperature the whole time.

I honestly expected the power bank itself to take a while to charge back up after use. Instead, it was fully charged in around an hour. This makes it even more convenient.

Supports Multiple Devices at Once

Despite its small size, the Veger K1 Power Bank supports multiple devices at once. Before you get too excited, though, the more you connect, the slower each device charges since power is being distributed among all devices.

In my test, I grabbed two Samsung Galaxy S23+ phones – one at 79 percent and the other at 59 percent. The power bank was at 85 percent at the time. After 30 minutes, the phones had charged to 97 percent and 74 percent, respectively. The power bank itself only dropped to 62 percent.

To support multiple devices, the K1 power bank features:

  • USB-C cable
  • Lightning cable
  • USB-C port
  • USB-A port
Ports on the K1 power bank.

Theoretically, you could charge four devices, but I’d recommend sticking with just one or two at a time if you want a faster charge. If you don’t mind waiting a little longer, top off three to four devices to keep your phone, watch, earbuds, and even tablet at full capacity.

Easy-to-Read Display

There’s much love about the Veger K1 Power Bank, but my favorite feature of all is the easy to read display. Unlike some power banks that just have a battery icon with four or five lines to indicate the current charge, the K1 shows an actual number. It’s large enough to read without needing to squint. Trust me, it’s easier to read than in the below image.

A small button on the side lets you check the current charge so that you know when you need to charge the power bank itself. While a device is charging, the display stays on, making it a simple process to check how much longer you can use it.

If you’re charging the power bank, the second digit flashes the entire time. It’s a great way to differentiate between the input and output displays.

The downside is the display stays on the entire time you’re charging a device. While a small light might not seem like a big deal, that light uses battery too. I’d love for it to go off, letting you just tap the button on the side to check its current capacity. After all, I can always look at my device to ensure it’s still charging.

The Go-Everywhere Power Bank

Since I received the Veger K1 Power Bank, I’ve kept it in my purse unless I’m charging it. It’s so compact and lightweight, it fits easily in a small pocket in my purse or a pocket. I have had the attached USB-C cable snag several times, which is the biggest flaw I’ve found. Otherwise, this may just be the perfect, powerful yet tiny power bank to take with you everywhere.
