Power outages never happen at a convenient time when your phone’s fully charged and it’s a bright, sunny day. Instead, you’re left in the dark and can’t even watch TV on your phone. The CYBPULTE C601 Portable Power Station promises to make power outages, and even camping, better. I recently tested it out to see how well it works.

Incredibly Compact and Lightweight
Most portable power stations, even smaller ones, are relatively heavy. Measuring in at just 9.4 × 6.5 × 7.1 inches, the CYBPULTE C601 Portable Power Station is easy to store in a closet, cabinet, or even a vehicle or RV for camping.
Plus, the compact size helps it to stay lightweight. I love that it’s just 6.8 pounds. The convenient handle means even kids can carry it around with no issue.

The CYBPULTE C601 Portable Power Station might be a mini power station, but don’t underestimate it.
Portable Powerhouse for All Your Smaller Devices
I don’t really go camping, but I love having a power backup in case of power outages. Plus, I often sit outside and use portable power stations to power lights, a small projector, and even my laptop.
The CYBPULTE C601 is a 299Wh power station featuring 600W of pure sine wave output, including 1200W surge peak power. This makes it perfect for powering most of your average devices and even smaller appliances. Just a few of the uses include:

- Charge phones and tablets
- Power your laptop for around five hours
- Power a 10W lamp for up to 29 hours
- Keep a mini fridge running for around five hours
- Run a projector for outdoor movie nights
- Have backup power for CPAP machines
- Use smaller power tools
No, it won’t power your whole home, but that’s not what this is made for. Instead, it’s a compact powerhouse designed to make life more comfortable during outages – while camping and even hosting outdoor parties.
Ample Ports for Powering Multiple Devices
Need to charge your phone, power a lamp, and keep your laptop from dying on you? Just connect all of them to the CYBPULTE C601 Portable Power Station. It’s more than capable of handling multiple devices, thanks to seven output ports, including:

- 2 x AC outlets
- 1 x 140W USB-C (input and output)
- 2 x USB-A 3.0
- 1 x 12V DC5521
- 1 x 12V car auxiliary outlet
There’s also a 12V DC input port for charging. Speaking of charging, there are four ways to charge this power station:
- Use the included power adapter (around six hours)
- USB-C fast charger (around 2.5 hours, but sold separately)
- 18V solar panels (around eight hours)
- Combo of included power adapter and USB-C fast charger (around two hours)
I actually like that all the ports are in the front, versus some being on the sides. Many power stations place some ports on the sides as well.
You might notice there isn’t a central power button. At first, I wondered how I was supposed to turn the CYBPULTE portable power station on. Instead, each group of ports has its own power button. Just turn on the area(s) you need to use.
The USB ports automatically turn on when you connect a device. But if you want to leave them connected and turn off the power to the station for a bit, just hold the orange button in the USB section to turn everything off.
Testing the CYBPULTE C601 Portable Power Station With Multiple Devices
I’ve used portable power stations that claim to handle multiple devices simultaneously, only to have them shut down when using two low wattage devices together. For my test, I plugged in a Chromebook (at 0% battery remaining), a Samsung phone, and a small desk lamp.

With everything connected, I had about 15 hours of power remaining. With just the lamp and phone, the time remaining jumped to 27 hours. And, this is with the lamp on the brightest setting.
I was also impressed with how quickly it charged two Samsung phones. One was down to around 60 percent, and the other was only down to 90 percent. Yet, the CYBPULTE C601 Portable Power Station charged both fully in around 20 minutes. While fast charging, the remaining battery time dropped to nine hours, but the remaining battery itself never dropped below 75 percent.

As long as you stick within the power station’s limits, it works well with multiple devices.
Handy Light for Outages and Camping
All those ports are nice, but if you can’t find your devices or cables because the power’s out, what’s the point? The CYBPULTE C601 Portable Power Station features a fairly bright light bar on the front.
It’s bright enough to shine through the box it’s shipped in. Mine arrived with the light on. Surprisingly, the battery still had around 25 percent remaining.

The light has three modes: steady, strobe, and SOS. It’s nice having a built-in flashlight or an emergency signal if you need help.
Built-in Safety Features
You don’t have to worry about surges or the power station overheating. The CYBPULTE C601 Portable Power Station has multiple built-in safety features to ensure your devices receive a steady flow of power without any issues.
The power station features over-temperature, overload, over-current, over-voltage, and short-circuit protection. This keeps your devices and the power station safer.
Easy-to-Read Screen, Even in Bright Sun
Since it’s perfect for camping, I wanted to see just how easy the screen is to see in the sun. Yes, it’s super easy to see. The display gives you real-time data on remaining battery, remaining time, current watts being used, which ports are turned on, and any warnings (such as an overload issue).

My only complaint, and really my only complaint overall, is that all you get is a battery icon with four slices to tell you the remaining battery life. I’d love to see an actual percentage. After all, when it drops to the last little slice, this could range from 1 to 25 percent.
Compact and Affordable for Fun and Emergencies
Whether you want a lightweight power station for smaller devices while camping or a backup during power outages, this power station more than delivers. Power multiple devices at once, illuminate areas with the built-in light, and store it easily with its compact design.
Even better, the CYBPULTE C601 Portable Power Station is incredibly affordable. Additionally, score 15% off with the code CYBPULTE and pay $149.59. through December 1.
