Apple posted the iOS 27.2 release candidate, build 24B115, on 19 October 2026, according to the Software Releases page on its developer site. Release candidates for iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS and Xcode appear under the same date. Apple has announced no public release date for iOS 27.2.

RC stands for release candidate, a build Apple posts to developers on its developer site.

Each build appears on the page with its version, the build number in brackets and the date it was posted.

The 27.2 builds follow the launch of iOS 27 and its siblings on 14 September 2026. Apple said in a Newsroom post that day that its 2027 software releases were available and that Siri AI was rolling out in beta in English.

The listing page gives no feature list for iOS 27.2 or any of the other 27.2 release candidates.

What Apple posted

iOS 27.2 RC and iPadOS 27.2 RC both carry build number 24B115. macOS 27.2 RC is build 26B118 and watchOS 27.2 RC is build 24S116. The same date covers tvOS 27.2 RC (24K120), visionOS 27.2 RC (24N118) and Xcode 27.2 RC (27B48), making seven entries in all.

Each of those entries offers links marked “View downloads” and “View release notes”.

The page, retrieved on 23 October 2026, listed only one entry after 19 October 2026: an App Store Connect update on 20 October 2026. It is not an operating system release.

What it means for you

Developers can download and test the RC builds from Apple’s developer site. That applies to all seven builds, including Xcode 27.2 RC.

Each of the seven entries dated 19 October 2026 carries a downloads link and a release notes link, so a developer can read Apple’s notes before installing.

Everyone else waits for Apple’s public release of iOS 27.2, and Apple has said nothing about when that will come. The developer listing gives no feature list. The Newsroom post from 14 September 2026 covers iOS 27 and does not mention version 27.2.

The most recent iOS entry on the page is the 27.2 RC dated 19 October 2026. The page as retrieved on 23 October 2026 showed that RC entry and no public iOS 27.2 entry.

As of the 19 October 2026 listing, Apple has announced no public release date for iOS 27.2.
