John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando joins Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass on 12 November 2026, according to the November wave 1 line-up published by Xbox Wire on 3 November 2026. The post gives the date as November 12 and is itself dated 3 November 2026.

The entry lists the game for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

It is an action survival game with co-operative play for up to four. The Xbox Wire description says that “up to four players cooperate in this action survival game set against a world overrun by zombies, with one goal: saving humanity.” The same entry says “Gameplay involves navigating multiple missions across semi-open environments while engaging in combat against large swarms of zombies.”

That is the whole of the official description. No price, no file size and no session length are given in the post, and the licensed title is written out in full as John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando.

Three tiers, no handheld tag

The tier list matters more than usual in this wave, because the November post splits subscribers across four labels: Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Essential.

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is listed for the first three. Essential subscribers are not included in that line.

Several other November titles sit on a narrower list. Football Manager 27, Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School, MySims Cozy Bundle, Football Manager 2027 Console, Warhammer Survivors, Tanuki: Pon’s Summer and Hope in the City are all listed for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only, with no Premium line.

The post also carries a Handheld label on some entries. Vampire Crawlers, Escape Academy 2, Warhammer Survivors, Thronefall and Aphelion all show it. John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando does not, and its platform list stops at Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Xbox Wire adds a note at the foot of the post explaining that the Handheld designation marks games that are optimised for handheld play.

One further detail is worth reading off the page carefully. Xbox Wire marks certain November titles with the line “Available on day one with XBOX Game Pass!” Football Manager 27, Escape Academy 2, Football Manager 2027 Console, Warhammer Survivors, Tanuki: Pon’s Summer and Hope in the City all carry it. The John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando entry does not.

Where it sits in the November wave

The 12 November date puts John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando in the second half of a crowded fortnight.

Football Manager 27 and the co-op horror game Pit of Goblin were listed as available on the day the post went up, 3 November 2026. Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors and the roguelite shooter Void/Breaker followed on 4 November, both with Game Pass Premium attached, with Void/Breaker described as launching in its 1.0 full release.

Then come three titles on 5 November: Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite and the MySims Cozy Bundle.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is the closest neighbour to John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando in structure. Xbox Wire says players can tackle it “with up to three friends or with the help of your NPC-controlled crew members”, which by the same arithmetic works out at up to four people in total, although Xbox Wire words it as the player plus up to three friends rather than as up to four players.

On 10 November the list adds Football Manager 2027 Console, Warhammer Survivors and Tanuki: Pon’s Summer. On 11 November it adds Hope in the City and Thronefall, a strategy game that Xbox Wire describes as building a kingdom by day and defending it at night.

After that, the Coming Soon list closes with two entries on 17 November. Aphelion is a third-person science fiction adventure from Don’t Nod, set after a crash landing on a frozen planet and made in partnership with the European Space Agency. Paw Patrol: Dino World arrives the same day with two-player co-op.

Gravhounds, listed under In Case You Missed It as a Game Preview, is another entry in the post built around a squad of up to four. Xbox Wire describes it as dropping a player and up to three others onto a hostile planet, with a swarm that gets harder the longer the run lasts.

Essential library and what leaves on 15 November

Separately from the tier line-up above, Xbox Wire lists eight games arriving in the Game Pass Essential library on 15 November 2026.

That list is made up of back catalogue titles: Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie and Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Gears of War: Judgement, Halo: Spartan Assault, Perfect Dark, Viva Piñata and Viva Piñata: TIP. All are listed for Cloud and Console, apart from Halo: Spartan Assault, which also lists PC.

The post also covers in-game benefits and updates. Valorant is releasing a new agent, Hush, listed as available now, with Game Pass subscribers given access to all agents through Game Pass Benefits. Microsoft Sudoku benefits are dated 10 November, and a Legacy Bundle for The First Descendant is dated 17 November. League of Legends is running a season on PC, ARAM Mayhem: Journey to Stardom.

Thirteen games leave the Game Pass library on 15 November 2026, among them Wreckfest, Moonlighter, GoldenEye 007, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers.

Also on that departure list is Firefighting Simulator – The Squad, which carries the same series name as Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, added to the library on 5 November 2026. Xbox Wire does not spell out a relationship between the two beyond that shared name.
