Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas, a cruise ship 365 m long and about 250,800 gross tons, was delivered by Meyer Turku in Finland in 2026 and left Barcelona on 25 October 2026 on a 13-night crossing to Fort Lauderdale, where it is due on 7 November.

The yard lists the ship as the third vessel in the Icon Class.

Meyer Turku puts the class at about 250,800 GT with room for around 7,600 passengers and says the ships use liquefied natural gas as fuel. The page says Royal Caribbean International commissioned four new vessels from the yard, and the fourth Icon Class ship, Hero of the Seas, is to be launched in 2026 with delivery to follow in 2027.

A fifth hull, listed as NB 1408 Icon 5, is scheduled for delivery in 2028.

For scale, Mein Schiff 4, delivered by the same yard to TUI Cruises in 2015, is 294 m long, and Mein Schiff 6, christened in 2017, is 295 m. Costa Smeralda, delivered to Costa Crociere in 2019, was the first LNG-powered ship Meyer Turku built.

Icon of the Seas, the lead ship of the Icon Class, was delivered in 2023 and Star of the Seas followed in 2025.

Seven pools and six waterslides

Royal Caribbean’s ship page calls Category 6 “the largest waterpark at sea”. Meyer Turku makes the same claim for the class as a whole and gives the count: seven swimming pools and six waterslides. Royal Caribbean’s activity list adds 10 whirlpools, a FlowRider surf simulator and a Splashaway Bay aquapark.

The same page counts 28 ways to dine and 17 eateries included in the fare.

Included dining listed on the page runs to a three-course menu nightly in the Dining Room, two buffets, seven fast-casual spots and five food stands at AquaDome Market. Other activities on the list are a rock climbing wall, mini golf, laser tag, ice skating and a carousel.

Entertainment named on the page includes Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, America’s Got Talent LIVE, an AquaTheater show, an ice skating show and eight places to see live music.

Nine days at sea

The transatlantic voyage, listed by Royal Caribbean as itinerary LE13T146, was scheduled to leave Barcelona at 5:00 pm on 25 October 2026, calling at Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Seville (Cadiz). The listing counts nine days at sea before a scheduled arrival in Fort Lauderdale at 5:00 am on 7 November 2026, day 14 of the trip.

The dates and times appear on the Spanish-language edition of the itinerary listing.

Royal Caribbean says the ship’s popular itineraries sail from Barcelona, Rome and Fort Lauderdale, with Mediterranean cruises in summer and Southern Caribbean sailings in winter. The Mediterranean routes from Rome and Barcelona include Naples and Palma de Mallorca, and the Caribbean routes from Fort Lauderdale include Perfect Day CocoCay, the company’s private destination.

Meyer Turku’s record for the ship gives its status as delivered, its length as 365 m and its tonnage as 250,800 GT.
