Feral Interactive has released Hitman: Absolution for the Nintendo Switch 2, with a price that rises after 4 November. The Switch 2 Edition costs $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop until that date and $39.99 afterwards, Feral said in a post dated 22 October 2026. Owners of the Switch 1 Edition can claim the Upgrade Pack free until the same date.

After 4 November the Upgrade Pack costs $9.99 for anyone who already owns the Switch 1 version.

Two prices, one deadline

Feral describes the free upgrade as a limited-time window that opened on release day, 22 October 2026.

The offer splits buyers into two groups. Anyone who already has Hitman: Absolution on the original Switch pays nothing for the upgrade, provided they download it from the eShop by 4 November. Anyone with a Switch 2 and no copy of the game pays $29.99 for the full Switch 2 Edition until the same date.

Both offers end on the same day, and both prices rise once it passes. Feral gives no end date for the higher prices.

The gap between the two Switch 2 Edition prices is $10. For existing owners the gap is the full $9.99 cost of the Upgrade Pack, since the pack is free until the deadline and paid for afterwards.

Feral set out the dates in an earlier post on 15 October 2026. That post described the $29.99 launch price as “saving 25%” against the later price and said the $39.99 price would apply from 5 November. The 22 October post said the change takes effect after 4 November.

That earlier post also told Switch owners who did not yet have the game to buy the Switch 1 version before 22 October so they would be ready for the free upgrade on launch day.

What the Switch 2 Edition changes

Feral lists five changes over the Switch 1 version. Output resolution goes up in both handheld and docked mode. The post lists “Frame rate improvements in Handheld Mode, to a maximum of 60 FPS.” The game supports Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.

Animations and visual effects in the most demanding scenes are improved, along with level of detail, shadow quality and texture filtering.

Feral says further changes beyond those five are set out on its own blog.

Contracts mode is also available to Switch 2 players from release day. Feral describes it as cross-platform and says Switch 2 players can climb its leaderboards from day one.

Feral’s post also lists prices in pounds and euros, and both the Upgrade Pack and the Switch 2 Edition are sold through the Nintendo eShop.
