If you’ve been waiting to try Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade without buying another game, your existing Game Pass plan may now cover it. The RPG joined the service on October 29 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud, with Premium included alongside Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Premium members don’t need an Ultimate upgrade just to access the game.

You play as mercenary Cloud Strife, joining Avalanche in the industrial city of Midgar. Combat mixes real-time action with strategic commands as you take on the Shinra Electric Power Company.

What your Game Pass plan covers

Premium and Ultimate include the game on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with cloud play also available. PC Game Pass covers the PC download, but doesn’t include Xbox Cloud Gaming. If you have Essential, the Xbox store listing says you need to purchase Intergrade to stream it with that plan.

The standard edition currently costs $39.99 on the US store, giving you a purchase option if you’d prefer to avoid an ongoing subscription. The Xbox version launched on January 22, 2026; its Game Pass arrival gives you another way to play.

With a subscription, access lasts while your eligible membership is active and the game remains in the library, as Microsoft explains in its Game Pass FAQ.

Intergrade includes the Yuffie episode

Intergrade bundles the visually enhanced Final Fantasy VII Remake with FF7R EPISODE INTERmission. That additional adventure follows Yuffie Kisaragi as she infiltrates Midgar, and you don’t need to buy it separately with this package.

This is the first entry in the remake project, retelling the original story through the escape from Midgar. The package doesn’t include the remake sequels.

Check the cloud allowance before you stream

Microsoft’s current cloud gaming page lists 10 monthly cloud hours for Premium and 15 for Ultimate. Those allowances cover your plan, rather than giving you a fresh allocation for each game. Streaming also requires a supported device and region, compatible controls, and a suitable internet connection.

If you expect to spend long evenings with the game, installing it on a supported Xbox Series console or PC avoids using those cloud hours. Xbox One owners can use the cloud route; the native console version requires Xbox Series X|S.

Try the opening on Xbox or PC

If you don’t have a qualifying plan, the free demo for Xbox Series X|S and PC lets you play the entire first chapter before subscribing or buying. Your demo progress can carry into the main game, provided you haven’t already created main-game save data.
