I just checked it out. The version in Ubuntu seems to be KDE dependent. You might want to grab the deb file from http://www.becrux.com/index.php?page=projects&name=wally. There is a debian package there, should work in Gnome.

hi..
is it me or this *will* download and install all of the kde libraries??? (+700mb)
I had this one on windows and its very good but.. u know :)

Have you tried removing the program and reinstalling it ? ANd there isno need to click “Next” to recycle. You have to specify a timed interval and a folder containing your images. Wally will scan that folder and set a random image as wallpaper.

I have been using Wally for quite some time and it’s perfect. Wish you good luck !

hello.. i am an avid follower of ur blog..

as per your directions i installed wally.. and it worked perfectly for a couple of weeks.. then it stopped changing the wallpaper..

the “play” arrow mark does appear at regular intervals.. the wallpaper doesnt change even though i click “next picture “..

is there a troubleshooting forum for wally.. ?
