He’s talking about for GAMES ChrisT. While if you have enough memory to run your entire game and OS and then more you may not have a problem, there really is no need for superfetch in a game as it’s typically one application.

Are you absolutely sure that in all cases, disabling SuperFetch is a bad idea? For one, I can tell you for SURE that on a 4GB system, leaving SuperFetch on will *improve* system performance.

What is the point of having unused memory? If you had studied Operating System 101 in any college, you’ll see the need for software cache like SuperFetch.

Moving the SWAP file to another partition on the same drive will not buy you a performance increase, you don’t gain anything in terms of I/O. Moving it to another physical drive however will reap some benefits.
