Dunno about anyone else but since (clean) upgrading to 9:10 Ksnaphot freezes when using “Region” mode.

Another nice tool to use in addition to KSnapshot is Screenie – http://code.google.com/p/screenie/ – Screenie a small tool to allow you to compose a fancy and stylish screenshots.

The best feature of KSnapshot is its auto number-incrementing system for file names, while taking multiple screenshots.

E.g. Take a screenshot and save it as:
mydesktop-kde-4-3-2-2009-01-my-screen.png.

Now take another screenshot, and click on Save As. Notice that the file name would automatically be:
mydesktop-kde-4-3-2-2009-02-my-screen.png.

That is, the last number in the name would get incremented automatically, while preserving its format.

Isn’t that amazing?
