Like many of you, I use a lot of Google products. It’s hard not to – they’re usually useful and free. To date, nearly everything Google has released has been a game-changer in its field. Earth, Maps, Gmail, Android, and countless other tools have each raised the bar for what we expect out of software, particularly on the web. When Google released Google+ a short while ago, that left many of us “power users” wondering if/when it would be integrated with Google Reader, the fantastic RSS feed reader. There have been a few plugins/extensions/etc released by third parties with the aim to fill this gap until Google makes it official, but so far the best of the bunch seems to be RSS Share for Google+ and Google Reader. It connects the two services so seamlessly that it’s easy to forget that it’s an addon.

The app I am talking about is Texty and it works by installing itself on your Android device and connecting with an extension in your Chrome browser. In this article I will describe how to install and use it.

Mozilla Firefox is probably one of the best browser today although other browsers like Google Chrome are picking up fast while Internet Explorer is trying to retain its place by releasing improvements to the browser constantly. The main reason people switch from Firefox over to other browsers like Google Chrome is its high memory usage. While Firefox is the most flexible browser – you can do almost anything via extensions, it is also hugely memory consuming. Leave it running for sometime and it will start leaking memory. Worst scenario, it crashes the computer.
Ever since Google launches instant search, there have been plenty of addons and extensions that attempt to emulate the behavior either in the search bar or address bar. Some of these extensions not only successfully created the “instant” effects, some have even added more features to make it better. InstantFox is one such extension.
