Hello a question since you seem to know your terminal.
Can i make a script of this as a one klick in a menu or maybe something for quicksilver?
I love my MacBook air battery life and this will at many times double it.
But like this it kinda defeats the purpose for me.

(the dream senario would be to have it as a hot-key in the CMD-TAB menu like CMD-§) .

If you are in the terminal, you can also run the top command and sort by cpu usage:
top -ocpu

For those who need to pause a program regualary:

killall -STOP firefox-bin

killall -CONT firefox-bin

(find the names of the processes by typing “ps -All”)
