Thank you for your effots.

You are correct in that I was looking to 'update' an existing Ubuntu installation. However the installer lets you alter the partion and dual boot, so I have both versions running. Very nice.

Thanks again.

It sounds like you want to apply the UNR interface to an existing standard Ubuntu install. The instructions I provided are for a fresh install of the whole UNR system. I don't know if it's possible yet to (easily) apply the UNR interface to an existing installation.

I'm afraid the best I can do is refer you to the UNR website in the hopes that they could provide more detail. http://www.ubuntu.com/GetUbuntu/download-netbook

Hi,

You say that UNR can be installed to the hard disk like any other version of Ubuntu, and you have covered it in the linked PDF provided (that i have read). I can see one should run update manager to upgrade Ubuntu to the latest release, but how does one get UNR onto disk without wiping it first? i.e. how does the update-manager know about UNR and apply it to disk?

I'd be grateful if you could elaborate for those dummies amongst us.

Kind Regards

Fantastic post - its very detailed in its step by step visual instructions.

I've installed Ubuntu Netbook remix in my S10. Except for the internal mic issues, its been going spiffy for me so far.
