dude u need to modify the files under /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/ to suit your requirements. it is very simple to modify, everything is written in a great detail

It doesn't matter if you have a battery in your laptop. Optimizing the power usage is also a good way to protect your hardware.

I am using Samsung SB-LSM80 Camcorder Battery since two weeks but not following any conditions. Thank you for informing about PowerTOP to improve batteries. I will definitely install as you mention and post feedback again.
