IGoogle is a great home page. It can be as cluttered as you like. Terrific themes with some that are day/night sensitive. Plenty. probably too many gadgets but thats up to you. Reliable and fast loading.

Widgets are small boxes that can show various information, like the weather, RSS feeds, your email inbox etc. You can drag the widgets around and arrange them to your liking.

I don't get the difference between widgets and rss feeds on NetVibes, however. I like feeds, yet some of my feed searches offer me results with widgets... when added to the page, they take up a lot of screen space while providing a lot less information in a tiny column that doesn't utilize all of the space it's in. Can someone explain that?

I have tried all 3 of these. Pageflakes is too simple. iGoogle is okay. Netvibes is my favorite. Netvibes can be set up with public and private pages. Each portion of either public or private page can be themed according to an infinity of Netvibes themes or one's own personal themes. The tab colors and icons can be changed. Each page can be arranged in various layouts. One can add content in several ways: (1) essential widgets, (2) search for widgets, (3) browse categories, and (4) add a widget (from Netvibes) or from the RSS feed from most websites. I currently have both a public and a private page. My private page is set up with 44 category tabs. In individual categories, in addition to RSS feeds are my Delicious feed, my local weather widget, my Twitter feed, other folks' Twitter feeds, and my email feed. Netvibes can be as personalized as you want it to be. Netvibes is fun and convenient.
