What an excellent resource! I had no idea that adding my own custom search engines to FireFox was so easy to do.

Formerly, I had to rely on others who had posted customized content to add some of the more obscure search engines that I use to my browser. This was problematic because if I had to repair my windows installation, I lost all the search engines I had added over the course of time.

I had to hope that the websites I had bookmarked to add aforementioned search engines were still available. In many cases, they were not, so they were simply lost; however, with this tutorial I can add any search engine I want without any dependencies on outside sites which may or may not exist after an extended amount of time has passed.

Thank you so very much for making this information available. Truly this is an invaluable resource to those who like to customize their search functions.
