I'm having a problem saving the video in such a way that I can view it later. I added the .avi extension to the end of the file name and it switched to an ave file, but it still wouldn't play. Any suggestions on how the save the video so it can be viewed later?

hi, I just use Avidemux to do a simple trimming of the frames at the beginning and at end of a avi video. It plays well in Avidemux. But when I save it in an avi file. It looks horrible at the beginning of the video and all others look good. Please see the pict! Many thanks!

When I edit a video file and come to save it, the save window doesn't suggest a file type to save the edited file. So, after editing, I find that the file that I save is not of the same format or file type as the original. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Great Program, However when I save a clip that I've selected to fade in from black and then fade out to black. Everything works great except the audio.
If I want a fade-in at the beginning and a fade-out at the end, wouldn't it make sense to apply the filter to the audio Too.
Frustated, I guess I'll continue using Avisynth coupled with virtualDubMod

You can use the A/B setting to cut the video to the length you want. Drag A to the starting point where you want to cut and B to the end point. Then go to save the video as a new file.

Hi

I know how I put single files together but.. how do I work with a bunch in order to have a nicely done clip in the end? Is it only possible to add one file to another? Is there no timeline where I can move single files around like at Windows Movie Maker or Avid, put it here, shorten it there, see what it looks like?
It is like I already have to know exactly what my clip or movie is going to look like in the end..? Haven't found any answer to my question. -.-
