First of all, wine-doors make use of wine to install applications, so it does not create a virtual space. Wine is simply a Windows layer that allows you to install exe application in Linux.

Secondly, you will be able to access/browse files from your hard drive.

Wow thats great posting. I have the same question that is it really needed ti install a liscense file and is yes then why. And does this software vreate any virtual space to run those windows application in Linux. because the OS is Diff and as far as i know .exe executable is not supported by Linux platform so thats why does it create any virtual space. and if yes then will we be still able to link our files form our hard drives to those software like if i install chrome should i would be able to download any file to desktop of Linux OS or if i install Photoshop will i would be able to browse my file from my hard drive to the software. please kindly give an immediate response regarding this. But still seems that its a very useful software because it already have a high rating.

I think it's for the fonts; it probably installs without that box being checked as well.<br><br>Also, about why someone would want to install old FF versions: Some people still use them, and some web developers like to check whether their Webpage looks good in all browsers.

Why would you need a valid Windows license it you're not running Windows?
You'd need a valid license for any restricted programs you choose to install (like Corel Office), but not to install most of what you listed from the Wine Doors repository. Some of the MS products you listed might be covered by a Windows license, like MS Media Player (codecs?). But the confirmation of a Windows license should be limited to those installations, rather than implying MS has anything to do with most of what you'd use in Wine Doors. Did the creator include some MS-owned code in the base or something? If so, I'd stay away from that...far away.

@noiz: Photoshop CS4 does not work in Wine (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=14318), so it won't work in Wine-Doors too.

@ska: Nope. Wine-Doors is running Wine in the backend, so it can run all Windows apps supported by Wine. The software (or repository) in Wine-Doors is just the developer way of making the app more user-friendly.
