Just because something is open source doesn’t mean it’s worse.

AAC was created to maintain DRM.
OGG was created to store music good.

Just like how Linux was designed for security, while Windows only got security so they could sell 2000 to the US goverment.

Reason you convert to mp4? watch it on your ipod. I can’t get ipod to use ogg.

@chickchest: I like VLC because it is a versatile media player that comes with the format conversion function. It saves me time, effort and hard disk space then to install a stand alone video converter.

@skew: The only reason for me to convert to mp4 is because Youtube don’t support ogg format yet.

but why in the world would you want to convert ogg to mp4?
there isnt a single criterion by which mp4 is better than ogg, everyone should convert to ogg theora and vorbis instead of mp4 and mp3

nice guide, it's useful for me. But I'd prefer using aimersoft video converter to convert video.
