Changing Your Vista Boot Screen Graphic

Didn’t like the plain black Windows Vista boot screen graphics? Here is a simple trick to beautify your boot screen.

There is actually a nice boot screen call “Aurora” hidden behind the actual boot screen. To enable it:

  1. Press ‘Start‘ button and type in msconfig.exe on the search bar
  2. Click on the msconfig.exe program
  3. In the “System Configuration” window, click on the “Boot” tab.
  4. Vista msconfig window

  5. Select your Windows Vista Installation and under “Boot options“, check “No GUI boot
  6. Vista msconfig window

  7. Press OK
  8. Restart your computer.

You should be able to see the “Aurora” boot screen with text that says “Starting Windows Vista“.
